December Design Team Reveal

I was so pleased and impressed when I opened my envelope of supplies from "My So Called Junky Life"! I spend several days just looking at them, trying to decide how I could use them all, and not "blow it" by wasting any of those pretty things.
I finally settled on making two projects: a Christmas cottage and a nesting bird.
I was quite pleased with the way they turned out. Yay! Nothing wasted!
It has been a real joy and pleasure to be a part of the Fall Design Team. Each team member is so talented, and I'm sure they will agreed with me it was a lot of fun!
A big "Thank You" to Sadie for including me. I hate to see it end.
Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a "crafty" New Year!

Advent Calendar

I just couldn't resist sharing this beautiful advent calendar with all of you. It was my husbands when he was a little boy, and thankfully, his mother was kind enough to hang on to it and we have enjoyed it for many Christmas' since. It always finds a spot on the mantle.

AUTUMN FAIRY

So many superdelicious , vintage items came in my package from http://www.etsy.com/shop/wildheart515. What a delight to create this charming Autumn Fairy out of old sheet music, buttons, flowers, snow crystals, and little orange colored leaves for her wings. Her green and orange wand is sure to work some magic in painting the landscape in splashes of autumn colors!

Whimsey Is Everywhere

Whimsey is everywhere, or if not, it should be. Ha.

I teach a crafting class once a month to a group of seniors, and last month we made these very whimsical horn blowers for some of the children who will be attending an upcoming country fair day. We had a lot of fun, and I think the kiddos are going to love them!!!

OCTOBER CHALLENGE

I was quite intrigued with my package of supplies from wild heart studio. My excitement threshold increased as I opened it up and found it full of beautiful ribbons and vintage embellishments, all waiting there for me to enjoy. Be sure and check out this unique shop, and let the creating begin!

Fall Design Team Project

I had so much fun creating this "Party Doll" from all the cottage style items sent to me by Icing on the Cake Studio. I was a little nervous too, since this was my first attempt at being a part of the Design Team from Lollishops where whimsical standards are so high, but I dove into my project immediately. The challenge, and the opportunity to bring life to all those adorable, sweet snippets that came in my design kit got the best of me, and I finished "Party Girl" in just a couple of days.
Enjoy!
